EDRD 3511 Lit Assess: Dyslexia & Div Rdg

This course will examine and apply literacy assessments to identify student literacy needs. Appropriate interventions and supporting materials for instructional interventions will be explored and applied through field experiences and partnerships. This course will increase teacher candidates’ awareness of dyslexia so that they will enter teaching knowing the definition of dyslexia, how to spot the signs for and screen students, and the types of instruction that will support students who have dyslexia or difficulty learning to read.
