This program will be offered for the first time in Fall 2026.
The Master of Science in AI Strategy is intentionally designed to combine the strengths of a public liberal arts education with the growing demand for professionals who can lead responsibly and strategically in an AI-driven world. The program teaches students how to use artificial intelligence ethically, thoughtfully, and effectively within their current professions while also equipping them for leadership and implementation roles in the rapidly growing AI workforce. Graduates may pursue careers in business strategy, operations, healthcare, education, government, analytics, and emerging AI leadership roles.
Program Goals
- Develop practical AI implementation skills for real-world business challenges.
- Foster ethical and responsible AI development and deployment practices.
- Build capabilities in human-AI collaboration and communication.
- Create expertise in enterprise AI system integration and management.
- Cultivate leadership skills for AI transformation initiatives.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Master of Science in Applied AI program, graduates will have the following capabilities:
- Technical Proficiency: Design and implement AI solutions using industry-standard tools and methodologies for diverse business applications
- Business Application: Analyze organizational challenges and develop AI strategies that deliver measurable business value
- Ethical Practice: Evaluate and implement AI systems that address bias, fairness, transparency, and privacy concerns
- System Integration: Successfully integrate AI technologies into existing enterprise infrastructure and workflows
- Human-AI Communication: Design effective interfaces and communication strategies between humans and AI systems
- Leadership and Management: Lead AI initiatives, manage AI projects, and guide organizational AI adoption
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is expected. However, if your GPA is below the minimum, you are not automatically disqualified from consideration. The admissions committee will conduct holistic review of applications, considering:
- Professional experience in technology, data analytics, or related fields
- Time elapsed since undergraduate study (applicants out of school 5+ years evaluated on professional achievements)
- Certifications and professional development
- Letters of recommendation from professional supervisors
The application and all documents required for consideration should be submitted through GCSU Graduate Admissions Office.
