HIST 4135 Women Ancient/Medieval World

This course will survey the social, political, legal, economic, and religious roles of women in various western and non-western cultures from prehistory through 1500 C.E. Students will survey important historiographical and other theses relating to women’s issues and methods for analyzing cross-disciplinary resources.

Prerequisite: HIST 1111 or HIST 1112.
