Music Therapy Degree Equivalency Program

The Music Therapy Degree Equivalency Program is offered for those who already possess a music related degree from an AMTA recognized university. This non-degree program is individualized, building on previous studies and experiences to meet requirements of the AMTA and of those of the CBMT for the national certification exam. Individuals completing this program will be eligible to sit for the CBMT examination. Qualified applicants will be eligible to receive the MT-BC credential. This is a non-degree program.

Students may earn the Bachelor of Music Therapy degree as a second bachelor's degree if not pursuing the Master of Music Therapy in addition to completing the required equivalency courses necessary to be eligible to take the National Board Certification Examination.  Graduation requirements for all Bachelor's Degrees can be found at: Graduation Requirements
